Through the Inkwell is an actual play podcast that uses the Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition game system, produced by Meadowlark Presents. We upload every other Monday on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music, Audible, and Google Podcasts.

A godless paladin, an axe-wielding inventor, and a righteous shadow, all scarred by the ones they’ve loved, must decide if the people who failed them are worth saving.
In the world of Yutan, where the seasons are storms and the stones hold secrets, a Great Parade proudly marches the land, and the jewel of civilization glimmers from within the grasp of those who hoard power at any cost.
Join four creative writers, Sarp Demiral, Katrina Basnett, June Rossaert, and Ethan Wescoatt, as they roll dice and weave tales in a dynamic, imaginative, actual play. Original composition by Ryan Miller, and design and artwork by June Rossaert.
Chasing the Summer Storm and the world of Yutan is made possible by the brilliant TTRPG The Ground Itself, created by Everest Pipkin.

MEET THE TEAM
Ethan Wescoatt
Ethan Wescoatt lives in his hometown of Honolulu, Hawaii, with his high school sweetheart and better, smarter, funnier half, Erica. When he is not working as an Account Coordinator for his local strategic consulting firm, playing pickleball with his family, or experimenting in the kitchen, he channels his creativity through playing Dungeons & Dragons with his friends and drafting his fantasy novel.
Sarp Demiral
Sarp ArmaÄŸan Demiral splits his time between his home country, Turkey, and Richmond, VA, where he teaches at Virginia Commonwealth University while completing an MFA in creative writing. He is also the current senior fiction editor at Blackbird Journal. His fiction has appeared in Half and One and his poetry can be found at Academy of American Poets and is forthcoming at Watershed Review and Bangalore Review. But that’s the boring stuff. When he isn’t writing, he plays all sorts of video games (addicted, really) and loves to dote over and water his two plants, Marbie (Marble Queen Pothos) and Moonie (Money Tree), like the over-zealous plant dad that he is.
June Rossaert
June L. Rossaert lives in the small town of Alexandria, Ontario, their two dogs, Kevin and Morrow, their cat Bella, a dozen hens, one coq, Derek the duck, and countless goldfish. They graduated from the University of British Columbia in 2022, with a BFA double major in Creative Writing and Film Studies, and currently work as a supervisor in a local pharmacy (cool and sexy job alert!). When they aren’t working or writing their fantasy-comedy TV series scripts, they spend their time making jewelry, playing video games that are probably Stardew Valley, baking, and of course, playing TTRPGs with their incredible friends.
Katrina Basnett
Katrina Basnett is the founder of Meadowlark Presents, where she produced the webseries Relatively Normal and the podcast Beyond the Veil. She currently hails from Vancouver, BC where she is working towards her teaching certificate. When she isn't teaching teenagers English, Katrina can be found at her theatre side gigs or working on young adult fantasy novels. In her very limited spare time, Katrina streams games on Twitch, builds tiny dioramas, and shares an apartment with a very paranoid tabby cat named Fable.
Ryan Miller
Ryan is a seasoned composer, a warm and generous spirit, a thoughtful friend, and an unreliable narrator. Often described as a folksy and meandering songwriter, he leaves no pumpkin un-spiced, no tchotchke un-spellchecked. He is a creative chameleon, with an eager desire to treat others with kindness. Not one to be focused or specific, Ryan writes music by asking questions of the silence and arguing with the answer. He’s profoundly thankful for the opportunity to contribute to such a personal and thoughtful project, and begrudgingly I guess FINE accepts that the universe seems most supportive of him when he is being authentically himself. If anyone has a dog, he is perennially available for Uncle duties.
